power restoration, applicant must live within 20 minutes of the Route 10,
Potter Road, Andover, NH location or be willing to relocate to meet
this residency requirement.
Apprentice/First Class Electric Lineworker
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. First Class Lineworker must possess a working knowledge of the construction, maintenance and operations of overhead and underground distribution lines including metering, transformers, voltage regulators, oil and electronic reclosers and capacitors. Must be certified in rubber glove method of performing linework. Additional
knowledge and skill in performing hot line work with hot sticks desirable.
Must know safety codes, and be an effective communicator. Must be proficient in operations of line vehicles and equipment.
Will consider electric lineworkers with experience as well as candidates who are interested in being trained in linework. is job requires occasional lifting and carrying of heavy objects and routine physical activities and ability to climb and work on utility poles and structures. Must be able to work outside under adverse weather conditions for long hours. Must hold or obtain a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License and a Commercial Boating License within one year of employment. Assistance with power restoration efforts is required.
