Executive Director, Human Resources
Named one of the country's Colleges with a Conscience by The Princeton Review, Saint Anselm College shapes the kind of leader the world is hungry for: not only smart, but good. The College is seeking such a leader to serve as the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Founded in 1889 by the Benedictines, a Catholic order that has endured and thrived for more than 1,500 years, Saint Anselm College is located on a hilltop overlooking Manchester, New Hampshire and includes approximately 1,900 students, 200 faculty members and 500 staff.
The Executive Director leads a team of four with expertise in benefits, recruiting, HRIS and student employment, and oversees all such human resource management functions, as well as the daily office operations. The successful candidate will investigate and resolve employee relations matters, manage compensation and budgets, and administer performance management and staff development/training. The Executive Director will also be responsible for establishing a robust succession planning program for the college administration.
The Executive Director works closely and collaboratively with the Vice President, Human Resources and Administration to develop the strategies, goals, priorities and projects for Human Resources that will advance and support the Colleges strategic objectives. The Executive Director is responsible for
assisting the college to further its strategic goals for institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness.
Qualifications include a Bachelors degree (Masters strongly preferred) and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including management experience, preferably in an educational or other not-for-profit environment.
Successful experience utilizing technical knowledge and skills related to human resources administration, including labor laws, compensation strategies, bene t regulations and personnel policy is also required. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and have a demonstrated track record in building strong relationships with a variety of individuals within a complex environment.
