Part Time Opportunity
The Town of Windham, New Hampshire is presently
accepting applications for the following part time
position in our Community Development Department.
MINUTE TAKER (PT Position)
Reporting to the Community Development Director, the candidate
will attend and compose meeting minutes of the Board of Selectmen
meeting, and of land use board meetings, including Planning
Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and others. Candidates must
be able to perform duties with a considerable degree of independence and exercising judgment in performing job duties.
Candidates must be available to attend all meetings, mostly held in
the evenings for purposes of taking meeting minutes; email draft
minutes to Department staff within the time frames required under
RSA for posting and distribution; and emails amended/approved
meeting minutes to Department start for posting and distribution.
The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of business
English, spelling, arithmetic, and vocabulary; ability to type
accurately and rapidly; the ability to communicate in oral and
written form; the ability to maintain accurate records and files; and
the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with other employees, board members, and the general public.
Qualified candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by specialized training in administrative skills
plus two years experience in administrative work; OR, any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates
possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Candidates will be subjected to criminal and financial background
checks. Required to take and pass a physical exam after a conditional offer of employment.
